The isolation so many of us need to compose a decent sentence also means we shut ourselves away from the world. *sigh* I'm so glad the essays help keep you motivated!

Focus is a Big One for you, eh? Wishing you the right sort of 'pickiness' to select a WIP and get cracking. *grin* Happy writing, my dear!

Smiles,
ChironChironhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03350218547511690377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5084335004747861291.post-59708030441720238152009-07-22T11:00:01.103-07:002009-07-22T11:00:01.103-07:00Hello Miss Mae!

Sometimes the fear of finding the exact right word freezes me up. D'oh! Othertimes it's the fork in the road--I could go this way or that! Which way?!? *gulp*

Being a writer truly requires a unique sort of bravery. It's one thing to jump out of an airplane, the derring-do is over quickly. However, OUR books will be out there for some time and that's scary stuff. We're ripping open our chests and revealing our beating hearts. Yikes!!

You, Miss Mae, are one of the braver ones. *wink*

Thanks for jumping in!

Smiles,
ChironChironhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03350218547511690377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5084335004747861291.post-63126852102807619372009-07-21T14:19:41.881-07:002009-07-21T14:19:41.881-07:00Chiron--well, sure I need courage. And as usual, you serve up great advice and encouragement. You know it, too, that it's difficult to keep going when long periods can go by without anyone "there" to encourage you. It's just me, my computer, and my thoughts. That's why I reply on yur weekly motivational posts. When will you do one about "settling on one WIP and finishing it, instead of piddling around with four different ones?" Sigh. Thank you, friend--CeliaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16272417114895975742noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5084335004747861291.post-80630041112265820952009-07-21T13:06:31.380-07:002009-07-21T13:06:31.380-07:0018 pages???!!! Seems so easy--simply putting words on a page. *laughs*

Although I play a mean rhythm guitar, playing lead is beyond me. Yet once I had aspirations so I asked a fellow musician to lend some wisdom. He patiently showed me a pattern of notes within a particular key. Once I had successfully mastered the notes, I looked up with a "What's next?"

He said, "Well, just play them but mix them up a bit."

Me (jaw drops): Huh???

Needless to say, I still haven't learned to play lead. *laughs*

However, I have learned to put down words and 'mix them up a bit'. *GRIN*

Smiles,
Chiron O'KeefeChironhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03350218547511690377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5084335004747861291.post-22977132556263332992009-07-20T12:17:21.580-07:002009-07-20T12:17:21.580-07:00Hello Glynis!
